My Qualifications/Upcoming Artists

Tuesday, January 20, 2009

Well, since this is a music blog and i am an expert, i should explain my credentials. Afterall if i want my opinion to be valued I should have some credibility and expertise in my field.

First off, Welcome to my blog, and thank you for visiting. I'd like to state that i have been a lover of music all my life. Before i could speak I would hum songs from the radio. My mother told me storys of how I would analyze a songs lyrics and explain my interpretations to her then make suggetions of how they could be better; all this before my 4th birthday. My uncle was a Motown singer. He had a few hits locally, his brother; my other uncle was an underground rapper. My cousin is a Gospel singer, my aunt was in a nationally acclaimed varsity chorus in High School and I have quite a few friends in the music industry who value my opinions.

Now that that is out of the way; artists i feel are on the rise.

First up on this list is a gentleman i have known for many years. He has earned my respect as an artist for his fresh approach to rap music. His style is unique and his flow is smooth as butter. Young Scolla of USR/BSE, his own record label, can be heard on the radio, in clubs, and on quite a few ipods. He is a rapper originally from Memphis but claims the Detroit Hip-Hop uprising. And i will not be the only one to say, We are glad to have you Sir Scolla.
Next up, some really nice guys from Inkster, MI. Singing sensations, The Twins, recieved national attention for making it to "Hell Week" on American Idol Season 5. With the release of an upcoming album they should more than surpass their efforts to stardom. Delay is a soultry R&B voice with introverted delivery in his lyrics the other half of the duo, J-Rock is a smooth pop crooner, that loves to dance and keep you entertained. This combination only spells out one thing for the ladies Sexy and Cool.

And what kida promoter would i be if I didnt ring my own bell. The Civil Lycist,CEO Label Liason Yung Savage and SENT Records presents D Dibbs™. Dibbs has been filling books and books with ideas and songs for about a year and its time for him to shine. His album is scheduled to release in 2010 and he'd like to keep all the tracks a surprise but one has already been leaked onto Myspace. Teaming with fellow SENT artist Collin Collab, "She Eyin Me" was posted to the site. Check out all of my reccommendations I know you'll love 'em.

I give

I have never been a flip flopper. I have never been a traitor. Nor have i ever changed my mind on things when i am wrong; i'm pretty stubborn. So i make that disclaimer to state that i am jumping on the bandwagon of the Arizona Cardinals whom IMO will win the SuperBowl on February 1st. Every year i have the high expectation which has devolved in to hope that the San Diego Chargers will get their act together and win the SuperBowl. After Several years of frustions early exits and underachieving I have decided to root for the team i have been playing with on Madden since 05. I have always admired the Cardinals for their spandex jersey's no homo the uniform is just sweet. I also found it nice to have a veteran QB in Kurt Warner with two talented recievers and a pro bowl type running back. I have never lost a game of Madden with the cardinals so with my team being out of playoff contetion why not root for the winner in my book.

Arizona Cardinals 24 Pittsburgh Steelers 16.

Bold prediction form D Dibbs

It is with the utmost and sincerest regret that i am forced to announce that this year's AFC Championship game will NOT feature, My favorite NFL Team the San Diego Chargers. It was a hard fought battle this past weekend... who am i kidding they got blewout. The score was 35-17 deep into the fourth quarter; at which point i tossed my bowl of Tostitos at the television and Boo'd loudly hoping my echo would carry to somewhere near Pittsburgh. The Chargers made one last futile effort at a comeback when the Steelers let them add to their low point total on what would be their final posession(another thing they had very few of). The Chargers were held to just ONE, that's right, one(uno, un, 1) posession in the 3rd quarter. Pittsburgh ran out the clock and sealed their dual with Ravens on Sunday. IN OTHER news The NFL marketing team must be overjoyed with the 75% chance of an ALL BIRD Superbowl. The Ravens and Eagles, have been to Bowls this decade the Cardinals are the rookie bird, which amazingly coincides with each teams' real-life mascot. You've got the wise cunning Eagles led by the Cunning Vet QB D.McNabb; The Mysterious, Savage Ravens anchored by Ray Lewis and a wily defense both more experienced than The Suprising Cardinals that succeed with an old head in Kurt Warner and youthful frame Boldin and Fitgerald, Mostly Fitzgerald.

21:03 is NICE

Saturday, January 10, 2009

Yo I was recently turned onto the gospel music tip. A lot of people sleep on the gospel artists because they feel that song and praise dont mesh. Or they feel it isn't interesting. Well I challenge you to listen to the group 21:03 and see if your mind isn't changed. Things were rough at first. Handpicked by production supergroup PAJAM from hundreds of candidates during a casting call in their native Detroit, then-hopefuls Evin Martin, Torrence Greene, and Jor’el Quinn were three strangers chosen on the basis of their faith, as well as their singing and dancing abilities. I attended High School with one of the members of this group and I can assure you these guys are the real deal. They truly live and preach the Word they believe in. and I believe they have the tools for success. Give them a listen and hit me back on the blog to tell me what you think.

Charge ON!!!!

Monday, January 5, 2009

My favorite football team , The San Diego Chargers, have defeated the Indianapolis Colts for the second straight year, 23-17 in Overtime, eliminating them from playoff contention. MVP Peyton Manning was disappointed to say the least as he was unable to deliver his usaul 4th quarter heroics. "We've been wining those fouth-quarter games. The Chargers just did a better job executing," Manning passed for 310 yards and one touchdown in the loss. The Chargers will face the Pittsburgh Steelers next Sunday in the AFC Divisional playoff. Barring a Phillip Rivers Meltdown the Bolts have this one in the bag.
