Ms. Jackson if ya... Juicin'??

Wednesday, April 22, 2009

Shocking news reported this morning that Janet Jackson has been using HGH for weight loss. The same supplement that Major League Baseball has banned is being used by celebs to trim down quickly. Well at least it isn't illegal for them. Fellow meat head...I mean actor Sylvester Stallone also uses the product to stay fit. The price for this miracle drug that sheds 100s of pounds is not worth mentioning because neither you or I can afford it. Yes Diddy you to. That Jackson cash is on another level of stupid. Anyways sorry I haven't been updated I'm still a PC. I'll be upgraded to Mac status in lil bit. Stay up readers. Tell me what you think about Janet on the 'Roids.

BangBang's BooBoo on RiRi

Tuesday, April 14, 2009

So Last month pics circulated the net with Rihanna's new Gun Tattoo under her armpit and I reported it here at Whas Really Good.com. Rihanna is back under the ink needle for something a little more aesthetic. The Barbados-born singer had a Sanskrit passage inked above her right hip - reading 'forgiveness, honesty, suppression and control' - but Sanskrit expert Mark Fielden claims it is 'incorrectly written'. LOL. Fail.

The tattoo – taken from the Hindu holy text of Gita - was designed by New York artist BangBang, who also inked Rihanna’s controversial gun design under her right armpit.

This is the very reason I am Tat-less at the moment. So many things come into play. It's not like getting your ears pierced, where you may remove the ring and your hole closes up. It's not buying a new shirt that you can return cuz its ugly or you only wanted to wear it to the party. This is the real deal. No Do-overs, No Tagbacks. The thing I dread the most about getting a tattoo is feeling an awkward pain; followed by an awry "oops."
WTF man, WTF. Best of luck to Rihanna doing the research next time; and to BangBang finding work.

A tribute to old skool music that inspired the new skool... Al Green-- Love & Happiness. I feel like a song is great when it lives thru generations of music. This song has withstood the test of time. It has not become played out or lost in translation. And even though i have NEVER heard this song on the radio in its entirety, somehow i know every word. Powerful stuff. Enjoy.

Adam Lambert: Idol Fav

Adam is the odds-on favorite to win American Idol, wear guyliner, and have career disappear faster than a Big Mac in front of Ruben Studdard. Oddsmakers from Latin America to London for the first time this week have made the show-stopping crooner such a prohibitive favorite to win this year's "Idol" that a $1bet on him will pay only 80 cents.
Who do you think is going to win, have you even watched the show??

Eminem- We Made You

This is the official video. I'm at work right now so i'm watching it with the sound off. I'm still entertained. Looks like he takes shots at Tony Romo, Jessica Simpson, Kim Kardashian, Ellen and Elvis and i think the guy that plays Sylar on Heroes but he could just be making fun of Star Trek geeks. Check it out and let me know what you think.

OldSkool:Marvin Gaye

Monday, April 6, 2009

You know every once in a while, Perhaps Every Monday, I'm gonna pay tribute to the music legends that paved the way for the "creativity" we have today in music. All you young whippersnappers and hippity hoppers get off the lawn and see how a real soul legend does it -
Marvin Gaye, "What's Going On / What's Happening Brother" live in 1973

Dibbs' Unsigned Hype--Young Scolla & S.Class

Lyrical academics, S.Class (Pittsburgh) and Young Scolla (Detroit), record their own version of the Rick Ross T-Pain Collabo. To be Honest, it goes just as hard as the original. Keep an eye out for these two in the future. In my opinion we need more regional collaborations like this one. It gives the music a certain Swag when two different dialects come together. All the hott records out today are Collabs between artists from different areas of the country. A representation of each. If more Detroit artists could learn to feature the artists from the next state instead of the rapper from next door, I think Detroit could end up back on top of the music game.

Lady Gaga and Flo Rida Rule the Charts

Friday, April 3, 2009

Lady GaGa has become the first artist of the new millennium to top the US charts with her first two singles. Her latest track 'Poker Face' climbed to the top spot after 15 weeks on the chart, adding to her number one hit 'Just Dance' in 2008. The last act in America to accomplish the feat of two debut number ones was Christina Aguilera with 'Genie In A Bottle' and 'What A Girl Wants' in 1999. Meanwhile, Lady GaGa – real name Stefani Germanotta – performed a show-stealing rendition of 'Poker Face' on American Idol on April 1.

After Flo Rida's debut smash hit "Low" featuring T-Pain stood atop the charts last year, many thought duplicating the same success would be an unlikely task for the rapid-fire styled rapper.
But the hits kept coming for the six-foot-three artist, who is a Florida native. He has held down the No. 1 spot on Billboard's Hot 100 chart for the past five weeks with his first single "Right Round" featuring Kesha. The high-energy dance single has also sold almost two million in digital sales.
Even his second single, "Sugar" with Wynter Gordon is currently climbing the charts.
Now with his second disc "R.O.O.T.S.," out this week, Flo Rida hopes his pre-album release momentum can result into more commercial appeal.

Chris Brown Apology Live on Oprah!?!?!

Thursday, April 2, 2009

Pop star Rihanna has allegedly demanded that Chris Brown make an appearance on the Oprah Winfrey show alongside her, and apologize to her publicly.
The Umbrella hitmaker, who was allegedly attacked by Brown and left her with horrific injuries, is reportedly in talks with media mogul Oprah Winfrey to make an appearance on her show.
Rihanna not only wants Brown to appear on the Oprah Winfrey show, but also make an apology on the show.
"Rihanna has been talking to Oprah Winfrey on a regular basis since late February, when Oprah begged her not to take Chris back. She’s been having second thoughts about them being back together. Agreeing to go on Oprah’s show and tell the world how sorry he is will help make up her mind,” Contactmusic quoted a source as telling Lokk magazine.
Winfrey’s people, however, have denied the reports.
Meanwhile, Brown has been released on a bail of 50,000 dollars until a hearing on Monday. Oh Damn!!

Destiny's Child Reunion

Destiny's Child to reunite and record one final album because Beyonce feels bad for leaving her two friends behind while she became a mega-superstar. Just kidding, they're still under contract to their record label.

StarPulse says the R&B superstars Destiny's Child are set to reunite to record one final album.
The multiple Grammy-winning group - comprising of Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams - left fans heartbroken when they split in 2005.
Knowles has since carved out a highly successful career as a solo artist and actress, while Rowland and Williams have also released their own material.
But the Independent Women hitmakers are set to head back into the studio to complete one last record out of duty to their music label, according to internet reports.
A source says, "They still have another album they owe their label, Columbia Records, on their contract."
Destiny's Child's last album of new material, Destiny Fulfilled, was released in 2004 and their greatest hits disc, #1s, hit stores in 2005 before the group disbanded.

They should make a song about strong women, that provide for themselves.. Yeah, that'll be a hit!!

TwitterFull of Posers

Recently i found out R&B singerBrandy's Twitter account was a fake. So that got me thinking if it's that easy to just become a celeb and get followers who else is out here posing. Are the Tweeple really who they say they are?? I found this article on mtv.com on CelebTwitties that have hired ghost writers. What do you think about it?

The whole point of Twitter is that you get to constantly update everyone on your list about what you're doing in just a sentence or so. Plenty of artists have jumped on the bandwagon, from Mark Hoppus to to, unfortunately, TMI repeat offender John Mayer.
But according to The New York Times, what you see isn't always what it appears to be when you sign up for an artist's Twitter feed.
For instance, say you're one of the 200,000 people signed up for 50 Cent's feed, and you saw his eloquent March 1 post in which he opined, "My ambition leads me through a tunnel that never ends." Deep, right? But prompted the savvy businessman and beef-addicted rapper to write such a line? Apparently you'd have to ask "Broadway" (a.k.a. Chris Romero), the director of 50's Web empire, who tweeted the thoughtful comment after reading it in an interview.
"He doesn't actually use Twitter," Romero told the paper about his boss. "But the energy of it is all him." The energy, huh?
Apparently 50's not the only one with a ghost Twitterer. The paper reported that Britney Spears recently ran an ad looking for someone to tweet for her and update her Facebook page. Prodigious blogger Kanye West told New York magazine that he recently hired two people to help him keep up with his frequent posts.
One of Spears' former consultants, Joseph Nejman, who helped her ramp up her Web strategy, told the Times that he thought critics of the ghost posts were being hypocrites. "It's OK to tweet for a brand," he said, noting that many companies have Twitter accounts, "but not OK for a celebrity. But the truth is, they are a brand. What they are to the public is not always what they are behind the curtain. If the manager knows that better than the star, then they should do it."
In fact, over the past few months, Spears, whose account was hacked recently, has been very open about the ghostwriting, according to the Times. Whereas it used to appear that Spears wrote every post, lately the updates have been signed by "Adam Leber, manager" and "Lauren" (a.k.a. Lauren Kozak, social-media director of britneyspears.com).
Among the other bold-faced names mentioned in the article who have surrogate Twitterers are Web-savvy 2008 presidential candidate Ron Paul and President Barack Obama, who both reportedly have staff members assigned to tweet on their behalf.
But some, like baller Shaquille O'Neal — who has a following of 430,000 — refuse to subcontract out their thoughts. "If I am going to speak, it will come from me," O'Neal said. "It's 140 characters. It's so few characters. If you need a ghostwriter for that, I feel sorry for you."
