King of R&B: R. Kelly??
Seriously, for 10 years, R. Kelly dominated R&B. I was only four when 12 play released but I Bump & Grind in the club whenever I hear it. I learned to Ballroom to Step in the Name of Love and my grandmother cried at my 5th grade graduation when my class sang I Believe I Can Fly. Hit after hit after smash after jam and then Trapped in the Closet 7 thru 900. I don't know maybe he getting old and outta touch, maybe the well is dry, maybe I expect too much out of a mere man who is an iconic legend in R&B. Apparently I'm not the only one that feels this way about such genius and muse going to waste. Trey Songz blatantly addresses Kellz' whackness with full force over JayZ's DOA track. Death of Kellz is a fitting title for the man that hasn't put out a decent Ballad since Chocolate Factory (2003). And it doesn't help that he's had two postponed albums (12 Play: 4th Quarter, Untitled) since going to court for kiddie porn. Give us something to change the subject bro. Post dated albums ain't gonna cut it!! (Zodiac, 2010)
By the way, I'm so disappointed in the mixtape, glad it wasn't made public. Get it together or I will have 1st Dibbs on the throne.
